Quick tips are always helpful so I decided to start sharing some since I don’t have the time to write many detailed articles.
Our first tip in this series has to do with scalable images. It’s always a pain to crank out different image sizes and densities for all the devices you have to support in your Appcelerator project. How can you make things easier? How about just creating SVG images and transforming them on the device before you store and display them.
This can be done if you make use of a WebView (which supports SVG on most devices) and transform the image into a PNG data url. You can then store that url on the device for future use and display in an ImageView.
